Kennedy Space Center (KSC) is in north Merritt Island. It is an active spaceport and National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) center¹. Adjacent to Cape Canaveral Space Force Station (CCSFS) and Merritt Island National Wildlife Refuge, these federal agencies work together closely²³.

KSC is not open to the public except for the KSC Visitor Complex, which contains exhibits, memorabilia, and spacecraft such as Space Shuttle Atlantis⁴. Admission requires a ticket. Ticket upgrades include meeting an astronaut, taking a bus tour of KSC, and watching a launch on KSC property. Plan a visit using the Visitor Complex website⁵.
